Very pleased that I was able to find a replacement canopy for my older porch swing. Canopy is completely waterproof, to the point that water will pool in the front section, and cause it to sag, so be prepared to tip it out after rainfall. The plus side is, my thick cushions have stayed dry. Only had it for about a month, but it seems to be holding up well so far.

I saw some concerns about the cover being too tight but I needed to replace our so I took the risk. It worked but required a particular technique. Here is what I did in case it helps others: Remove both hangers by unscrewing the knobs and take the hangers off of the swing. Attach the canopy to both hangers (I did this on the ground). The hanger end pegs fit perfectly in the corner pockets of the new cover (make sure you use them!). The cover has velcro strips along the bar of the hanger but I recommend not attached them together until both sides are on the swing to allow the cover to slide for best fit. Next, find someone to help you hold the two hangers up onto the swing. Attach one side and put the know screw back on. The difficult part will be to affix the other side. This part requires some muscle to pull the hanger over the end. Be careful not to pinch your fingers. Once it is on, install and tighten the know screw on that side. After installed, you will need to fasten the velcro steps around both hanger rods. The velcro straps are way too long (probably to help in case you need to make adjustments) so you will want to cut them so that there is adequate but not too much overlap. As a final step, be sure the knobs are tight so there is no gap. If they are loose the cover will blow around and could tear the new fabric. Once installed, sit down and enjoy your swing with your sweetheart... I did. :)

This canopy is not at all what it is advertised. I own the 2 person Garden Treasure swing. It's the exact same as the one in the picture for this listing. I ordered the cover, paid $10 in shipping and hoped for the best. It arrived and we attempted to put in on our canopy frame. NO WAY, NO HOW does this thing fit on our swing. We tried and tried. I checked the reviews and saw many people with similar problems with it. It is way too small, the Velcro straps are too long, but generally useless anyway. There are little pockets that look like you should put part of the frame in, but they don't stay on the frame. The main issue though, is the fact that it's impossible to put the big screws through the holes of the canopy fabric when you attach the canopy to the swing. It's at least 4 inches too short to fit. I contacted customer service about a return and they keep telling me I won't get my refund if the cover is not in usable condition. Unfortunately, since this is so poorly made and doesn't fit, one of the holes ripped a little while we were trying to fit it on the frame so I am reluctant to actually pay to ship this piece of crap back unless they guarantee me a refund of my purchase price.

This is my worst source of aggravation, it almost was a good product. When try to install it after some time it became obvious that it's just to small , about a half an inch in all directions. I've been looking for a direct replacement for the swing I got from Lowe's and I really wanted it to work. The only way I could get it on the frame was to disassemble the frame, cut it down to size , reassemble the frame and employ my vast vocabulary of profanity. Then of course there are the suggestions they give where they admit the product is inferior and not finished when they send it to you. If you expect it to stand up to us light you'll have to coat it with a special product you have to purchase. Don't expect it to withstand a rainstorm or wind, you should anticipate this and take the canopy down and store it safely. It's also suggested that you install some grommets in the top to help any water that gets on the top if you choose to throw caution to the wind and let rain get on it drain off. I'm stubborn and mostly endured all of this to prove I could. If you want to " prove your resolve " go for it, I've done that and am ready for the next opportunity.

The replacement canopy initially seems to fit great. It was a little hard to get on initially as other reviews have mentioned but once it was on it looked and fit great. The color of the canopy did not match the original color of the canopy but I was still initially very happy with the canopy. However, the first time it rained there were huge puddles of water that sat in the front and back of the canopy. The original canopy I had never once had this issue in the 5 years that I had it. The material of this canopy is not as strong and water resistance as the original one which I believe is why it allows the water to pool and the canopy to sag. It really caused the canopy to look worn and having to constantly "empty" the water out was very frustrating after only having the canopy for a week. We did put wood slats in the canopy to help suspend the canopy and that has helped keep the water from pooling. I did contact the customer service team about this issue though and they were very responsive which was appreciated.

This canopy is extremely hard to get on. Got one side on and then attempted to do the other. The round cogs, on the top of the swing and the one on the bar that the canopy is attached to, would not go together so the hand knob tightening screw could be put into the grommet hole to be tightened. Three people, one on one side and 2 on the other tugged and pulled to stretch it into place, In doing so, the grommet that the hand knob tightening screw goes through popped off the canopy leaving a hole which can be seen at the top of the knob in the above image. I have had this 2 person swing, bought at Lowes Home Improvement, for 14 years, and have bought 4 canopies. Every one has been difficult to put on. It is perhaps not long enough by about 1/4". I was going to not put a canopy on, but what is the use of a swing without a canopy to keep the sun off.
