Geoff Keighley announces Summer Game Fest, four months of news and demos from Xbox, WB Games and more

Update In a Reddit AMA where Keighley was answering questions, he confirmed that the upcoming episode of Inside Xbox on May 7 was a part of the Summer Game Fest, and that Xbox has multiple events planned for Keighley's festival.

Geoff Keighley, host of the Game Awards and Opening Night Live at Gamescom, has revealed an entirely-new projection called Summer Game Fest. Running from May through August 2022, this event is iv months of news, digital shows and demos from multiple publishers, including merely not fifty-fifty remotely limited to: CD Projekt Red, Xbox, PlayStation, WB Games and Bethesda.

Keighley also announced that as a part of this upshot, in add-on to the Steam Game Festival, Xbox will be holding a Game Festival, with more details coming subsequently.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Keighley explained that "You have to open up your mind to dissimilar ways of getting news about games." He also noted that "[Summertime Game Fest] is not a big press briefing with 5,000 people in an audience hooting and hollering and cheering. And I miss that stuff. Those things are big moments. So how do we create those new moments in this new world social club? I think people have to only accept that it's different. Peradventure some things will exist fifty-fifty improve. And maybe you'll get more content at dwelling."
